WAYS TO GIVE

At Trinity Lutheran, giving is Intentional, Vulnerable, and Joyful.  We give with a spirit of joy in response to the love and forgiveness we have freely received in Jesus. We never give out of obligation or guilt. Your gift works to help those in need and drives what we're all about: Sharing the love and forgiveness of the resurrected Christ and making disciples.

Giving Online

Give simply and securely via your debit card, credit card, or bank account. You can customize your donations to be one-time or recurring gifts. You can also view your giving history and giving statements online.

To set up your electronic giving with the new Church Center Platform via your smart phone:

After your Vanco account is cancelled, please login to Church Center via your app or on your computer. For alternate instructions to set up electronic giving on your personal computer, please refer back to our Church Center Introduction page.

Open the Church Center app.

  • Click on “Give”, along the bottom of the screen.

  • Enter the amount you would like to give then click “Next”.

  • Donation Setup

    • Choose the fund you want your tithe/offering to go to under FUND.

    • Choose FREQUENCY

    • Add a payment method.
      NOTE: You may also choose to cover the processing fee.

    • Click “Give” to submit your donation.

  • Church Center automatically creates a donor profile for you after you donate to your church the first time.  You can log in to your donor profile to update payment methods or recurring frequency, view your donation history, access tax statements, and set communication preferences.

Additionally, you can contact Scott Hoeft if you have questions on electronic giving or need help canceling your Vanco account. Vanco payments will not be accepted after January 31.

Giving during a Service

During all of our worship services, there's an opportunity to give. In worship, offering plates are passed.

Non-Cash Giving

You can donate stocks, bonds, or mutual funds as gifts or do a planned gift as a portion of your estate. If you are interested giving a gift in this way, please email Scott Hoeft or call 309-828-6265.

Give by Mail

If you would like to mail a gift, you can send it to our main address: Trinity Lutheran, 801 South Madison Street, Bloomington, IL 61701.

Note: All undesignated gifts will be placed into the general fund.

Transitioning from Vanco to Church Center

Trinity Lutheran has transitioned to a new membership database from Shepherd’s Staff to Church Center. In doing so, we are also transitioning our electronic payments from Vanco to the Church Center app. We believe you will find the features of Church Center to be a convenient upgrade to our old system. Once you have made the transition, you can log in to your donor profile at any time to update payment methods or recurring frequency, view your donation history, access tax statements, and set communication preferences.

We ask that you would make this transition before the end of 2020. The year end giving statement you will receive from our Director of Finance will reflect both your Vanco and Church Center giving.

Instructions to cancel your Vanco account:

  1. Login to your Vanco account below.

  2. Click on the “Profile” tab located towards the top of the page

  3. In the profile tab, you may click on “Cancel Profile” . This will delete your account and all future transactions through Vanco.

  4. You will then be presented with a page saying “You have successfully canceled your profile”.
